JOOMLA (Sub Menus)

Create sub menus in Joomla :

Previusly  we talked  about how to make menu for joomla website. now if you want  some sub menus for your website menu then how to add them? answer is simple ,creating sub menus process is same ,just like we created menus.

•  Open menus in control panel ,click to new menu item, then add menu name.

• add alias (used to sap rate 2 same name menus) .
• choose published.
• choose the menu location in which menu you want to display. these are the same steps creating menus and sub menus ,the only different between them is the next option after menu location  ''Parent item" ,yes parent item means select the parent menu for this menu. 
• example if you have an menu ABOUT US on your website and you want to add a submenu for it like who we are then you will go to 

Joomla control panel -->menus-->new menu item-->select parent item-->ABOUT US.

now you have done. refresh your website and place mouse cursor over the about us menu and you will see there is a sub menu for it .

JOOMLA (Creating Menus)

Create Menus & Sub menus :

• now we will learn how to create a menu in our joomla website. as you know after login to joomla admin site we accessed the control panel ,in the control panel there is a option to create menu item. This is the option where you create your website menus.

• The second option is in the left coner of joomla control panal ,in the top left corner  you see all menus item in the row ,these are

       site---menus---content---componant------extention manager ---

HERE you move the mouse over these menus you will find more option with submenus.

now we want to create menu for our website for this we will click on menus then you will see a option new menu item ,CLICK ON THAT ,a page will appere .

look this screen image the red arrow will point out how and where you find menu create option.

lso you will find all the menus of website. click on menus then a list will appere 

• in that list check for main menu which also highlight with star icon most of joomla websites main menus are highlighted with star icon.

• click on that menu and then new menu item .

CLICK TO  menus-->main menus----> new menu item .

CREATE NOW:

1. after opening menu page here are some option first one is the name of menu.enter the mane of menu which you want to.

• then also surname of menu ,sub name is required because lots of time we need  more then 1 menu with same name,then the sub name is differentiate them.

• another option is link, this is the option where you set link address of that page which you want to add with this menu like, about us page, services page contact us page etc.but its not directly typed.

•  to set a article page or contact us page with this menu  you need to click on  menu type option in the top before menu name

after filling the required field click to save  ,then refresh the website and you will see a new menu item  with other menus.

JOOMLA CONTROL PANEL

Manage JOOMLA Control Panel :

After successfully installed joomla in your localhost (server).now its time to learn how to work with joomla cms to create you own websites.

* open joomla control panel by typing http://localhost/joomla/administrator in your browser address bar.

* now you have joomla control panel ,here you are able to manage all of your website content, menus, models, controllers, images and much more functionality.

GLOBAL CONFIGURATION :

Now we are going to start ,how to work with Joomla ,how to manage a website using joomla ,in previous post we have discussed about JOOMLA installation, now after installing joomla we have JOOMLA CONTROL PANEL, where we are able to manage all part of our website.

In JOOMLA CONTROL PANEL we have all tools to manage our website, like Menus Section, Article(pages) section modules and controller, media manager to manage images of website so on.

 This is joomla control panel where you access those features ,which  we discussed about. In Joomla control panel we see some of direct or shortcut option on the left side  thise options  are
*Add new Article
*Article Manager
*Media Manager
*Categories Manager
*Module Manager
*User Manager and much more option check out screen.

 After that we have some menu type option on the upper left corner, these menus are same as in control panel. but here we have more option.we will discussed about it later.

In the left corner we have first menu NAME SITE ,(show by red arrow in screenshot)when we move curser on it ,it will display a submenus  like .these sub menus are ..
* Control Panle *My Profile *Global Configuration  * Maintenance * logout

Control Panel : 
this is the first page after we login as administrator. here we find all shortcuts of joomla tools and menus option .
My Profile :
My Profile is the palace where you can change your administrator login info like USERNAME AND PASSWORD. Which you will use to login your joomla admin site.

Global Configuration:
This is the palace where you where you manage your website info ,site info ,site name ,email address which is used for website info, server setting ,site description ,meta keywords for website .

Maintenance:
Maintenance is the palace where you maintain you website temp ..clear dump files or cache ,Global check in
purge chache.

System Information: 
System information is the palace where you system information is displayed like ,your language version,server you are using, which joomla version ,php version,databse version etc.

Logout:  
as you know clicking on logout is logout from admin site,after logout  if you want to access it again ,it require admin and password.

So the Site menu  shows the configration of your JOOMLA WEBSITE. for practical details checkout the details and also do it yourself step by step for better understanding.

• after opening control panel you will see there is a option about SITE NAME, Enter your site name here ,which you want to.

• Next the option is under construction message ,this is when your site is under construction, this option is optional ,because in order to blank custom message ,joomla provide its default message page.so don't worries about it if you not set the custom message.

•  Next option is META Description, this  is the description of your website ,which is shows in search engine result when someone search for it. add minimum words description here ,which is also useful for SEO.

• After that you will see the next option META KEYWORDS. meta keywors are those keywords which will help to find your website in the search engine result. when someone search for your content. so add 5-8 keywords here related to your website and content.

• in the left side some option is available like search engine friendly ,prefix. don't go deep ,it is the option for search engine friendly URL's if you make it yes,then your website is shows in search engine result. we will talk it about later. 

NOW Its done with control panel setting as an beginner. after making these changes in your joomla global setting save the setting by clicking on the right side of the page.

Joomla cms is a php based cms which is used in website development. through joomla your are able to develop dynamic websites in php.

Joomla is strong CMS and easy and user friendly in Using. using JOOMLA you wil able to develop websites in a very short time.

SHORT TIPS ABOUT USING JOOMLA :

1- Download joomla CMS from joomla official website. its totally free.

2- extract it then copy the files into your WAMP folder or in the root folder of your Apache server...it depends what MYSQL server you installed in your computer.

3- when you copied this files then create database like JOOMLA.

4- then open you local host by typing LOCALHOST in you browser and hit enter.

5- then click on the joomla file ,now follow the instruction..

6-it ask for choosing language,select what language you want.

7- follow the instruction ...

8- when you finished installation then click on administrator.

9- if not found..go to url bar of your browser now type localhost/joomla.

10 - the joomla site will be opened.then type localhost.joomla/administrator .

11- the joomla admin panel wil be open. user name by deafult wil be admin an type the password ,what you typed at the time of installation .

STEP 1-

*After opening your website admin panel(joomla control panel ) by putting \ADMINISTRATOR After the web URL. example :(www.mysite.com/administrator). now you have joomla control panel ,where you manage your joomla website .

* now in the top of the control panel you can see some menus ,these are control menus  to add, edit, delete or install or update your joomla site contents and design.

* or in below the control panel some short tabs are shows to manage same thing like add article, add menus ,or etc.which are the shortcut to access directly those contents of joomla.

 So this is the working process in joomla and we will continue disscuess about everything  in joomla, which is used to design dynamic websites using joomla....stay with us.

because the internet is popular ,so the scope of career on it is bright ,in nows days there are lots of jobs in web development and desing.and these job will never be ended until the internet is not stopped ,which is impossible .so if you want to make a career in web development ,then you need to learn about web programing ,or you need to get this skill. and it is not easier also to learn all these languages together.So that i am trying to make a way to learn these programing languages easily.
